About the Anxiety Program

Confident Parents: Thriving Kids – Anxiety Program is a skill-building program designed to help parents support their children aged 3–12 who are experiencing mild to moderate challenges with anxiety.

You’ll learn effective skills and strategies to empower you and your child to manage their excessive fears and worries and strengthen your role as a parent through a series of short online videos, supported by 4 to 8 weekly coaching sessions by phone. Coaching sessions can be scheduled during day, evening and weekend hours.

Confident Parents: Thriving Kids – Anxiety Program incorporates concepts from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT)—one of the most effective treatments for anxiety.

The program is available at no cost to parents and caregivers across BC, through referral from a physician, nurse practitioner, Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) clinician, Aboriginal Child and Youth Mental Health (ACYMH) clinician, psychologist, teacher, school counselor or early childhood educator.
